we have booked our car online , what insurance %26amp; extra%26#39;s should/must we take out? we always seem to sign up for too many extra%26#39;s after the long flight

How can we answer any of you questions when you dont state who you have booked with on line, and what your online booking gives you. Or what the package contains. is it fly drive. complete holiday.?????????

as i said we booked our car online so what this has to do with a fly drive package i do not know ! if you have not booked a car online with dollar you will not understand the question

iloveshopping yur first mistake was booking the car as part of a fly drive package as you will be stiched up with insurance if A you book in Advance the best opition or B when you arrive.

It is so much cheaper to book the car your selve and belive me you will get a better car (bigger),and a better price on the car and insurance so remember this for future ref.

As to which insurance if you dont need more than 1 driver or any of the kids stuff then go for the gold package .

it depends which package you booked with dollar? we just got back and we had a car from dollar which was booked online with full insurance. they still tried to sell my dad more when he went to collect it but luckily he is a regular with them and knew it was adequate so just asked for a refund and they backed down and said the amount he had already paid was fine!!They aways try something- cheeky monkeys!!

sorry just to confirm - no package just went on line www.dollar.com and booked a car standard basic package . no mention of any insurance or extras on booking , what should i take out?

Hi iloveshopping,i understood your question perfectley,you was just asking if you needed any more top up insurance to go with your package,we always have this problem when we book our car hire in america,your always quoted as having the cdw inc in the price,but we have for peace of mind taken out the extra covers they offer,just in case,quote it does say dollar rent a car at the top of your post so i cant understand the previous comments,hope this helps.

You would have been far better booking with one of the UK agencies like . floridarentacar. Yescahire.com; uscarhire .co.uk ;

Dollar may well have sold you a hire with only CWD insurance on it.

Collision Waiver Damage (CWD) only covers the damage done the the car you hire from them.

All the other damage to other cars, street furniture. People, private property, Police, Fire, Ambulance.

And loss of revenue the car that you bend would have made had you not put it off the road.

';You'; have to pay for. Or Have your own insurance cover to pay for it.

The deals available of the site above which you also book on line are inclusive with nothing else to pay when you get there.

Its unlikely that yours will be one of these. this is why you keep on getting stung with pay outs when you get to the pick up counter.

The hire company will let you take the car on the min insurance it comes with cos they will get there car replaced by the insurance.

They dont give a dam if you have to take out a second morgage to pay for the rest.

With many different kinds of deals.

Thats why its important you know what you have got, and be clear about the insurance cover.

You dont need to come back from a fabulous holiday from Florida and find a 拢40,000 bill waiting to be paid.
