Juat looking thought the new Virgin brouchure.

Christmas 2008 拢889 per person 2 weeks.

Christmas 2009 拢1199 per person 2 weeks.

Thats a BIG increase for a Family of four.

We booked our holiday a month ago for Nov 08 there are 6 of us, the flights have gone up 拢90 per adult and 拢30 per child so 拢300 in a month fuel increase def had an effect.

That%26#39;s madness. We booked Xmas 2008 in January for 拢2273 getting them down to 拢2000.The same Holiday now with them is over 拢4000!!So it just goes to show that it does pay to book early.

Virgin have got a sale on the 11th December 拢346.Flight Only.Thats not bad, but it just means you come back a day before Christmas and landing on Christmas day.

even if people have paid for there holidays and the prices in fuel and duty go up, they will have to pay the increase as well

even virgin and the other airlines are making people for the fuel increase if they have not paid it

That%26#39;s a massive difference 拢1240, that%26#39;s 35% dearer than last year. Plus, you%26#39;re going at the busiest time of the year, so you can%26#39;t really afford to chance it on a late deal.

We booked ours for next year already. September 2009, 4 people in 2 rooms, at Pop Century, 2 weeks 拢3,044 - which we were pretty happy with.

Prices are really high atm!

OH was lookign at xmas 2009 prices for us (well her and kids!!). She said that although the prices had gone up, for the dates she was looking at (compared to 2008) some of the supplements had disappeared. Maybe they have incorporated them into the price. The sceptic in me would suggest this was because they dont want to drop the FS when (or if) fuel goes down!

Or one could say, what a difference two terms make...............

Surely you are not suprised that a brochure has increased its prices year on year .......... thats what they do .......... thats why you should look more independantly.

I am returning in August after a 2 year break, my flight with Virgin is 拢40 more for adults and 拢20 less for children and concidering last time I went out of the school holidays and this time in them that is not bad at all.

My villa is the same price and is on the same estate but is 5 bed rather than 4 bed.

And finally my car hire is the exact same price.

I can also promise you I did not spend hours and hours getting low prices or screwing folks down to rock bottom.

I still think there are great prices out there that don%26#39;t break the bank, just stay away from the printed brochures.
