Key West at Halloween??

I%26#39;m planning a girl%26#39;s get-a-way to Key West leaving the men and kids behind!! :) We%26#39;re looking at the possibility of coming down during Halloween. What%26#39;s Key West like during that time? Wasn%26#39;t sure since it%26#39;s right after Fantasy Fest!!

Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

Key West at Halloween??

Well this year it%26#39;s on a Friday and it%26#39;s also during the Parrot Head Convention, so Duval Street will be filled with Parrot Heads in costumes. There is also a Haunted Fort at Fort Zach that you can go through. Most of the locals will still be in recovery mode, but it should be a fun time. Nothing on the scale of Fantasy Fest!!

The Green Parrot always has a big Halloween costume contest. I think Halloween here is a blast! Key Limey is right though that we locals tend to lay low for a week after Fantasy Fest recovering from being out every night for a week.
