Scampys Restaurant?

Has anyone eaten at Scampys lately? We have had good food there in the past but last summer we were disappointed.

You might find Beentherebe4%26#39;s trip report. I read it earlier today %26amp; she said the food was just so so %26amp; probably would not return next year. We%26#39;ve never been there, but the last couple of years we%26#39;ve gone past the resturaunt, it was not busy at all. You may want to go somewhere else this year. Good Luck!!!

Me and my husband ate there in mid May of this year. It was VERY good, I had the blackened grouper and it was awesome. I can%26#39;t remember what my husband had but I do remember that he also was very happy with his meal!! We will definately be eating there again when we return to PCB. The only thing that I could see is that its kind of a small place, other than that very good!!!

We have eaten there several times (most recently last week), and have found the prices to be a good value (we normally order off the lunch menu) but the quality only average. That said, the place is normally full when we go.

I%26#39;ve always enjoyed my meal at Scampy%26#39;s except on one occasion, and that was due to my own menu choice. I tend to believe that a lot of bad reviews on this and other forums may be due to a bad dinner choice based on the individuals personal taste.

We were there in June of 2008. We had a wonderful experience... twice. It was our favorite restaurant in the area. We also really enjoyed the Boars Head but for the price difference... Scampy%26#39;s is the clear winner! The ribs and the filet were amazing.

My family also ate there 6-24 best steak we have ever had, they were out of raw oysters, but got them fried, nothing special, also got a sea food platter, grilled and fried, again it was good, but nothing special. We went back there since it was our fav a couple of years ago, but next time I go will be for the steaks and not seafood. We found better food and prices at Captains Table and the best of the best at Hunt%26#39;s Oyster Bar, best food, best prices.
