Adult things to do on our free trip

My husband and I got a free 4 day 3 night trip for sitting through a presentation and we are probably coosing Fla b/c it is ';safe'; - hey you never know where they are going to stick you and I figure Fla is pretty safe! So...my husband doesn%26#39;t want to do kids things like disney and that (we are going next year with the kids) so where can we go that will be fun. Maybe shopping, shows, nightlife, comedy clubs....Any help would be great (we are in our 30%26#39;s) and not into the ';club'; scene per say. Anything worth trying down there. We get free hotel and flight so we need a rental car I suppose.....

Adult things to do on our free trip

Hi,

I haven%26#39;t been anywhere but to Disney in years, but I found a website the other day as I was wasting time on the internet

There is a section under comedy clubs.

Good luck and have fun!

Be sure to see Cirque du Soleil or the Blue Man Group while you%26#39;re here. There is plenty of shopping at the outley malls or the Mall of the Millenia and the Florida Mall. There are alot of awesome restruants as well. Plenty to do!

Depends where you%26#39;re staying...I would recommend the downtown or Winter Park area. I%26#39;m 32 and enjoy both areas...

Downtown has a great neighborhood called Thornton Park, filled with renovated houses %26amp; many lakes. You can take a walk around Lake Eola %26amp; have dinner at Dexters. There are tons of bars around downtown, but would can get very crowded on a Friday/Saturday night, however, if you look around, you will find quieter spots. Some good restaurants in the area: Ceviche, Urban Flats, Spice. There are also 2 comedy clubs downtown-I have not been to either so I can%26#39;t review. Winter Park is a little more upscale, but still nice to visit. There%26#39;s Park Avenue which is filled with shops %26amp; restaurants w/ outdoor seating. Also, there%26#39;s a scenic boat tour for $10...you visit 3 lakes and go through narrow canals, they%26#39;ll show you lots of gorgeous houses.

Millenia Mall is very nice...upscale, but has shops for us %26#39;normal%26#39; people too. Plus, you can visit IKEA right next to it.

If you like the outdoors, I would recommend Wekiva or Blue Springs...canoeing at Wekiva in the morning is beautiful! (just don%26#39;t do it on the weekend, crowded!) If you%26#39;re here Nov-March, then go to Blue Springs! You will see MANY manatees in crystal clear water.

When you get here, just pick up an Orlando Weekly for a listing of bars, shows, restaurants.

Good luck!

I wouldn%26#39;t rule out a few hours at Epcot or Downtown Disney, two of our favourite locations when traveling without Kids. If you are going before Sept 27, it would be your last chance to go to some of the Clubs at Pleasure Island

You may also look into CityWalk at Universal. Margaritaville is a great place to relax, dance, eat. Usually they have a live band. They also have a gift shop which has fun items if you%26#39;re a Jimmy B. fan. Bob Marley%26#39;s and Pat O%26#39;Briens are also recommended. Emeril%26#39;s restaurant is there but you need to make reservations in advance. Gets mixed reviews but if you%26#39;ve never been you should check it out.

Mount Dora is a small town about 30 minutes north of Orlando and is very quaint and has many unique shops and eateries. Celebration is also a nice area. Go to celebrationtowncenter.com for info about the shops and restaurants. Great place to wander around.

If you%26#39;re heading to the beach check out New Smyrna. Closer than Clearwater and would recommend it over Cocoa.

Capone%26#39;s Dinner Show (buy one get one coupons).
