Is this possible?

I have Chef Mickeys breakfast booked for 7.05am and having seen another post about parking etc I wondered if this was possible....

Can I park at MK at about 6.30-6.45am, then take Disney transport to the Contemporary Hotel? I had thought that if this was possible, we could then take the transportation back to the park again after, and not have had to move the car. I am not sure if the monorail etc is running at this time in the morning, and I am also not sure if this plan might make us late for our reservation - as I dont know how long it takes to get around by monorail and how often it runs.

Thanks

Is this possible?

Hi Sarahsmum,

One thing you could do as the transport dosen%26#39;t normally start until 1hr before park opening, is drive to the Contemorary park and have your breakfast, then after that catch the monorail to MK and leave your car at the Contemporary and then after a lovely day at MK catch the monorail back to the contemporary to collect your car buy doing this you will save about $11.00 in carparking as hotels don%26#39;t charge you to park.

Hope This helps?

Is this possible?

The resort monorail begins running at 7 AM, so you would likely be late for your reservation if you parked in the Magic Kingdom parking lot, as it takes about 15-20 minutes at that time of day for the monorail to go from the TTC to the contemporary.

And with a dining reservation, you will be given a parking pass that is good for 3 hours. So even if you park at the Contemporary for your breakfast, it might not be a good idea to try leave your car there all day. It might be there when you got back, but in this day and age it might have been towed.

I don%26#39;t know if it%26#39;s an option, but could one person drop off the group at Contemporary and then go park the car in the Magic Kingdom parking lot? That person could take the monorail to the Contemporary and only be a little late in catching up with the rest of the party.

I believe I answered this yesterday.

The parking lot gates at Magic Kingdom WILL NOT be open at 6:30 AM. Therefore, if you drive, you will have to park your car at the Contemporary until your breakfast is over, then move your car to the M.K. parking lot after your breakfast.

Contrary to what other%26#39;s have posted, I would not take the chance of parking and leaving your vehicle all day at the Contemporary resort, and they usually are very strict on the 3-hour limits.

Also, the resort monorail probably won%26#39;t be operating at 6:30 AM anyway, so parking at the Contemporary and then moving your vehicle after breakfast is about your only option.

Kat-

BTW, I have seen the parking lot gates unattended very early in the morning such that people could drive in and park for free if they were inclined to get there 3 hours before opening. Could have been a fluke, though. And that three extra hours of sleep is worth $11 to me!

We just returned from WDW. We had 7am reservations at Chef Mickeys. When we entered the Contemporary we were give a parking pass for ALL day. However, we got a tip from someone to instead drive up to valet parking at the Contemporary. You could still valet park your car ALL day and after your meal take the monorail to the MK. After MK take the monorail back to Contemporary to get your car. We had no problems. In fact, we did again the next day :).
