Planning on visiting Florida 2009 for 2 weeks - taking my 10 year old with me - going outside of UK shool term time - and probably looking to go sometime in June . Most like staying on ID with hotel with transfers -
What will weather be like and will the parks be really busy - don%26#39;t want to spend a lot of my holiday queing for rides
Got the chance to be there for 4th July (return back to UK later that evening) would it be worth our while being in Orlando - what goes on or happens in the area on 4th July
Any advice would be appreciated - not too bothered about the heat - usually vist egypt - just got back from Luxor and that was HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2009 But when shall we go - help me please
Hello,
Unfortunately, I can%26#39;t give you specific answers to your questions, but I can tell you of 2 very informative websites that can.

www.touringplans.com
I%26#39;m sure other TA members with more Orlando experience can help as well, but this is a good start.
Happy planning!
2009 But when shall we go - help me please
We went in June last year and were there for 4th July (came back 7th July). Parks were all very busy and the queues at Universal were horrendous! On the 4th we went to Cirque de Soleil which was brilliant.
Earlier in the day we were at Celebration watching all the preperations for the fireworks. I have to say fireworks are not really my thing so CDS suited me just fine!
By the way, and I%26#39;m only curious, do 10 yr olds not have sats in June or are they over with by then?

In my opinion June is a bad time to go, if you have other choices. It is very hot, humid, and crowded. Even if the heat doesn%26#39;t bother you I bet the humidity and crowds will.
The best times of year to go, IMO, are early May, late October, and early December. All these times have great weather and low crowds.
4th of July is VERY crowded in Orlando. Most of the parks will have elaborate fireworks displays, and Americans will be having cookouts and barbecues at their homes. That%26#39;s about it.
