Whats you budget? What are you looking for in a hotel? Would you consider a B%26amp;B?

This is a short description of how Key West is laid out, where some of the activities are, and examples / suggestions of types of places to stay...

Banana Bay is a couple of miles from Duval. If you want to find something close to Duval and Mallory Square you need to book something in Old Town.

Arnie, thanks much
Banana Bay states Adults only, is it clothing optional??
I believe there is a small beach area for topless sunbathing but you should call the hotel directly and ask.

Obvioulsy, a fl guy, you have the insight. new town, old town? difference? is the choice between being close to Smathers or Duval, or is a personal preference? just checking the options.
any good Buffett playing bars besides Margaritaville?
Ken, if you would consider a B%26amp;B, check out the Angelina Guest House. Two blocks off of Duval and within walking distance of most everything, including Mallory Square. Very clean, and they serve a continental breakfast every morning. Prices are beyond reasonable, and we stay there almost every time we are in KW. We will be there this Sunday, staying in their ';honeymoon'; suite, and we are only paying $119.00 a night. Our suite has an entrance directly onto the pool, with a little deck, bistro table, and chairs.
Also, when looking for airfare, you might consider doing what we did, and just keep watching a travel site, hoping for prices to drop. We are flying directly into Key West (layover in Ft. Myers), and taking a cab to our B%26amp;B. On our last day we are renting a car and driving back to Ft. Myers (we are actually staying on Sanibel for a few days). We will then fly home from Ft. Myers, and I got round trip tickets from Cleveland for $319.00 a person. Our TOTAL for airfare was $638.00, plus taxes. Yes, that is ROUND TRIP!! You might check into flying into KW, then renting a car when you are ready to leave, and driving to either Ft. Lauderdale or Miami (about a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive, depending on traffic). You might just get lucky, like we did. I used Travelocity, but I am sure the other sites would serve just as well.
Randi,
please email direct to me for more info if you don%26#39;t mind
