Any incentive to pre-purchasing tickets?

Is there any benefit/savings if we buy our Disney tickets online before we go as opposed to buying them at the gate?

Any incentive to pre-purchasing tickets?

These sites offer a discount if purchased on-line in advance

If you have a AAA membership, they always have a discount :)

If you are talking ONLY about buying directly from Disney, then there is little reason to by ahead versus buy there, mainly because there is NO PRICE DIFFERENCE between buying them ahead of time and buying them at the gate.

If you buy them ahead of time, you save yourself a few minutes of waiting in line.

If you buy them ahead of time, you protect yourself against a price increase. When WDW does a price increase, they announce it (quietly) on a Friday afternoon and it goes into effect on Sunday.

I%26#39;ll assume you are NOT staying at a WDW resort ... if you are, just book your tickets as part of your resort reservation. At check-in, your park tickets will be encoded onto your room key, which is very very convenient (only having to carry one card instead of 2 or more).

The only other way to save money is to buy tickets from an authorized WDW ticket reseller/wholesaler. There are a small handful of legitimate, approved companies who do this. The savings is small, maybe between $10 and $25 or so per ticket, but every little bit counts, right? If you go this route, make sure you find out the TOTAL cost including sales tax and shipping. There have been some instances where people compared prices and thought they were getting a deal but then discovered that they compared with WDW total price with the ticket wholesaler%26#39;s pre-tax and pre-shipping price.

AVOID AVOID AVOID buying tickets from an unauthorized source, such as individuals who sell on Internet auction sites. There will be no way for you to know if the tickets are any good until you actually arrive at WDW (in other words, you can%26#39;t call Disney to find out over the phone). And if they are partially-usd tickets, then that%26#39;s no good to you at all. Partially-used tickets are non-transferable. WDW uses a ';ticket tag'; system that links a mathematical formula (derived from your fingerprint) to each ticket, and if your ticket tag data doesn%26#39;t match that of the person who first used the ticket (and it won%26#39;t!!!) then you will be denied admission.

I know this all sounds like such dreadfully serious stuff ... but the bottom line is you%26#39;ll buy your tickets from one legitimate source or another and then you%26#39;ll HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!

Thank you!

No, we are not staying at a WDW resort-I%26#39;d love to but just can%26#39;t justify the extra cost.

I was planning on ordering the tickets thru the WDW website. However, the cost is going to be at least $900 and that%26#39;s a big chunk of change just in case, god forbid, something happens at the last minute and we can%26#39;t make the trip.

If for some reason you couldn%26#39;t go, the Tickets would still be good.

When are you thinking of going ?

We%26#39;re going to be there August 10-24 with a detour to Daytona in the middle.

I guess that%26#39;s true that they%26#39;d still be good but I%26#39;d rather not lay out the cash unless it%26#39;s a sure thing. We%26#39;re 100% planning on going but you never know if someone gets sick, breaks a leg, etc....
