Irish Laser Cards

Hello to fellow Irish travellers,

Heading to Orlando in 2 weeks. Just wondering if we can use our laser cards in ATM machines over there. Also can we use them to pay for items or do we use our Credit Card. What do other Irish travellers to Florida recommend as the cheaper method of payment.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Hi KildareEbony.

You can use your Laser Card at ATM machines to withdraw cash but a fee will be charged. When you put the Laser card into the ATM a message on the screen will tell you what the fee will be, it%26#39;s normally around $5.

Laser Cards can NOT be used to pay for items anywhere. I take a Credit Card and cash myself as I found in the past that traveller cheques can take a few days to clear.

If possible try to have 2 different means of withdrawing cash %26amp; it%26#39;s a good idea to let your credit card company know in advance where you are going.

I%26#39;ll be there again in Sept so if you think I can help with anything else just let me know.

Have a safe trip %26amp; enjoy your holiday.

Ger.
