Our itinerary created with all your help. Is it perfect?

Hello everyone I%26#39;ve spent six months on this forum and learnt so much from all your advice, am looking for a final seal of approval from all you experts. We are first timers, family of five, kids 17,15,9. Staying at Tuscana Resort,Championsgate. 10day MYW,7 day Universal tickets. We will have 18 full days, not sure if we%26#39;re doing too much or too little. Rest days are to include some shopping, downtown disney, pool time and maybe some evenings in Disney for Wishes, Illuminations and Fantasmic. Not doing waterparks as our kids are just as happy in pool. Could add Aquatica and Busch Gardens to our Discovery Cove ticket was going to wait and see how first week goes, don%26#39;t want to miss anything in Disney.

No Water Parks?? There seems to be a lot of %26#39;rest%26#39; days in there we hardly ever have any!!

Yes it will be hot to have your daughter in hair and makeup, BUT I bet she will love being treated like a princess all day. :) I think you should keep your a.m. appt.

I think you have a lot of rest days, as well. Especially since your kids are older. Of course, you know better than anyone how much rest time the family needs. Maybe go ahead and Aquatica and Busch Gardens. On the days, you%26#39;re ';resting'; are still going to be something... just something low-key?

Even if you decided to keep your schedule as is, it IS going to be the holiday of a lifetime...

Hi

I would stick to your early appointment for BBB [ I presume its for your 9yr old] as in the first week we were up at 6-6.30am [due to excitement and time difference I think]and she will love all the attention she will get all day [evening appt%26#39;s will miss this]. Personally I think you have a lot of rest days -I know you will use these for shopping and DD etc but as your kids are bit older I think you could maybe do some half day parks [either early to get on the favourite rides or evening to stay for shows] once you have been once to the parks you can revisit and pick out the best bits to do again - we only had 2 days of rest [shopping] in 2 wks and I still felt we were missing things] also I would visit a water park -I know you said kids are happy with pool[so are mine] but the water parks are a great day out [we especially loved Blizzard Beach]and am sure you can still relax there too.

We just returned from our first visit and like you I got all my ideas from here - the info was invaluable - most of all enjoy your holiday - it really will be wonderful

Sounds great but why 2 days at Epcot? This could be replaced by a day at a waterpark or something else you haven%26#39;t seen? I think your 17 %26amp; 15 year old will only like a couple of rides in Epcot I found I was really bored and found the whole thing a bit tacky ! We arrived at 10 am and left at 2pm, boyfriend found it more boring than I did, it just doesn%26#39;t compare to the other parks so just be prepared for your kids to moan ! I think for me, the whole mini countries thing didn%26#39;t cut it cos I had been to the countries for real and found it a bit depressing or something ! I also hated the advertising like a guy trekking through the desert - with a packet of mcfries on his back? I couldnt cope! Otherwise the hol sounds fab! Only other things I would suggest would be maybe a trip to Boggy Creek on an airboat Busch Gardens and a waterpark. I really thought Busch was fab and you could feed the birds nectar on your hand! There is so much to do in orlando so it is important to chill and rest too ! Have a fab holiday!

Thanks to all for replies, I%26#39;m delighted you all think we can do more, as agonised over leaving out busch and aquatica. I believe it is no problem to add them onto our discovery cove ticket up to 14 days beforehand. Will keep BBBoutique am appointment now, we can always leave early that day. We were planning on doing parks early and using the second half of our rest days to use up our remaining disney entries and see evening shows. I had a feeling people wouldn%26#39;t agree with leaving out waterparks, as have heard TA members speak passionately about them before. Also everyone has different opinion on how many days for Epcot. We are totally wide eyed and innocent, I suppose once we get there and get the four main disney parks done we will have a better idea of what we want to give more time to or have seen enough of, and maybe even add on the waterparks. Am I right that they can also be added on halfway through using our tickets?

Yes, you can add more days onto your pass once you%26#39;re there. Or change them to a Water Park Fun %26amp; More ticket, if you%26#39;d like.

Have now added a waterpark. Got wet n wild included with universal tickets. Must be meant to be as this new offer just appeared on universal site tonight. Thank you FullerOf4, got your advice on wet n wild. I will pencil it in for Tues 5 Aug.

mon Jul 28 Rest? your first day there everyone will be eager to get started. not a good time to schedule rest.

parks are more crowded on weekends. if you want rest days maybe better to schedule them on weekend days and go to the parks on weekdays.
