weekend scuba trip

We are planning to fly into Miami on Fri Sept 26 and then leave the afternoon of Sun Sept 28, so not much time.

My husband wants to scuba, so I%26#39;m assuming we will head straight to the Keys and Pennekamp SP and he will do a Saturday morning dive. I will have a 2m old baby and all I want is a hotel room with an ocean view (preferred) and possibly order room service (not necessary). I have read other reviews that Islamorada is much nicer to stay, but is it worth it for the extra driving?

And where would you stay? So far it looks like either the Ocean Pointe Suites in Key Largo or the Islander Resort in Islamorada fits the bill.

And I%26#39;ve only read good things about Quiescence tours.

Any suggestions or ideas for us? Feedback? I appreciate your help.

Is he dead-set on scuba from Pennekamp? There are outfitters in Islamorada that can take him out too, then you are where you sound like you want to be.

It%26#39;s not that much extra driving, from Miami it%26#39;s only 1.5 hrs from MIA.

No we are not set on Pennekamp.. we just heard Key Largo is the best scuba ;0)

I know it is expensive, but the Mariott in Key Largo has a nice view, and very nice beach area, and is just down the road from Pennekamp.

Also, next door to the Mariott is Quiescence Dive shop which would be very good for a dive trip.
