My husband and I will travel to Key West for the first time the last week of July. Does anyone have any opinions of the Heron House or should we go for a larger hotel/ resort?
We usually stay at resort properties when we travel but want a more peaceful/ authentic (?) Key West experience and we like the Heron House does not allow children.
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give!

Heron House
We stayed at the Heron House a couple years ago and quite enjoyed it. The property is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. Particularly impressive are the Gumbo Limbo trees and the large aquarium in the courtyard. Breakfast is typical of most of the guesthouses (pastries, cereal, fruit, bagels, etc.), but there was plenty for all and everything was tasty. The location of the property is excellent. You%26#39;re just a block off Duval and a short walk to the seaport. The only drawback to the property is that they do not have their own parking. This may or may not be a factor for you, and truth be told, many of the guest houses in town don%26#39;t have their own parking. I would recommend it.
Heron House
I haven%26#39;t stayed there myself but a few of my wedding guests stayed there last year. They were very happy with it and I have to say that it was just a beautiful property and very close to everything.
