Hi there, i have question and i know people have probably asked this a few times on here but i want to know for my own peace of mind
My boyfriend has just informed me that he got a caution from the police when he was 12 as him and his friends wewre caught
He%26#39;s 27 now and this was never on his criminal record he has been CRB checked in the past and nothing has come up
Was just wondering if this would cause a problem for us getting into the usa on a visa waiver form?
Any help is hugely appreciated to stop me panicking lol
Police Caution Visa
depending on when you travel there is aa new system in place which starts jan 09 you complete a on line form it will grant you entrry or tell you to apply for a visa befor that just go say nothing
Police Caution Visa
hi ruby, it wont affect him getting a visa,as he wouldnt be considered as a potential threat to the us security, i recieved a caution as a child probably in similar curcumstances and ive been 27 times !! so dont worry it will be fine...
your fine its only a caution. not a conviction.
There was a post on this a few days back. He was a junvenile, so it won%26#39;t count, particularly as he was just cautioned and it wasn%26#39;t drugs, etc.
Its only if you were arrested that it could cause problems - and even then thats if they found out.
A caution as 12 year old is not going to show up anywhere! I doubt it was even written down at the time.
Thanks guys you%26#39;s are all stars!
Think i might make him feel guilty about it for a little but longer though ha!
; )
Hi Ruby,
just to let you know a caution will only stay on the police record for 5 years and as it is not a criminal conviction no other law enforcement agencies will know about it anyway.
Hope this helps
