December 2008-Key West or Bonita Springs/Naples area

Cant decide on either Key west of Bonita Springs/Naples for December 2008-Travelling with parents 70 and 71-and my sons 22 and 18-

I had booked Key West but Older son wants nice beach-but I am concerned about weather-Is there really that much difference in temperatures between Key West and Naples/Bonita Springs in December-and water temperatures? Any imput is appreciated!!!

December 2008-Key West or Bonita Springs/Naples area

The temperatures in Naples will average in the low to mid 70%26#39;s fahrenheit. It can be warmer or cooler at times. The Gulf temps in Naples will be in the 60%26#39;s and a bit cool for swimming, for me anyway.

Average temps in Key west will be a couple of degrees warmer. The water will probably be just as cool if not cooler in Key West.

December 2008-Key West or Bonita Springs/Naples area

Is it possible to do both, I have 2 teenage daughter 21 %26amp; 18 and while we vacation in Naples every year and love it! Key West was a great family experience,

Key West may not have the best beaches but they are nice they definately have the best water sports the highlight of our vacation was a 2 hr jetski around Key west Island, we still talk about it, there are so many water sport trips to take fishing snorkling, water adventure day trips talk to your boys and see what they would really like to do.

Naples beaches are really nice the water is calm no or very little wave, Clam Pass, Vanderbilt our personal favorites and a trip to the Naples Pier for sunset is a must.
