what do think would happen???

if i didnt get a pay a medical bill,well i did but then they sent me another bill to pay at home to pay for the rent of the ambulance and hospitail room

and i just ignored it now im sh**ting myself incase i get refused entry in 21 days time lol

IF it is on immigration records, then refuse entry is a possibility. Can you not contact them and pay?

I was in hospital in Florida 3 years ago and I sorted everything out through my travel insurance when I got home. They paid all the bills for me, I think it came to around $5000!

Did you not take out any travel insurance before you travelled? If you did then it will be too late to process a claim now so I guess you will have to pay out of your own pocket I%26#39;m afraid.

I would call the hospital and find out how much you owe and then find out what methods of payment they will accept.

i did take insurance with my bank and to be honest i cant remeber if i sent that bill when i got home!!!

I can almost guarantee you won%26#39;t have a problem. Unless they filed a claim against you and it went to court, there won%26#39;t be any record of it and that just wouldn%26#39;t happen for that amount of money. And if they had taken it to court you would have been notified.

Why would you ignore a bill? Don%26#39;t you pay them at home either?

How much was the invoice for? That might have a bearing on whether they chase it up or not.

A friend of nime had to go to hospital regarding a flare up of a pre existing condition.

He left the hospital without paying and sipped out of the country. They sent the bailiffs over to get the money. They couldn%26#39;t get anything out of him and so he will not be welcome in the USA again. They certainly would have that info on the system.

But if it is a samll amount of money I think they might have written it off.

More than likely the Hospital was private and they sold the claim to a private collection agency or wrote it off as a business loss. If it was public hospital it would be a state or local matter and should not show up at immigration.

I would plan on looking up the bill while you are in the states and paying it. We do not have universal coverage here and someone paid for your medical expenses.
