My daughter and her fiancee are looking to get married in Orlando next year. They like the look of Cyprus Grove. Would love to hear from anyone who got married there and/ or had their reception there. It would be for about 50 guests. Any other suggestions for a venue for a reception would be welcome

Wedding in Orlando
We got married at Cyprus Grove 31/01/2006 - it was the most amazing place to get married!! The photos are lovely - taken around the grounds of the grove, we were married in the Gazebo on the lake.
We had cake and champaige for 20, it was not rushed - just a lovely day.
Hi greystoke. Nice to hear that Cypress Grove is a good place. Did you have a reception afterwards. We were thinking of The Cottage at Cypress. Did you have any problem with mosquitos around the lake.
Leu Gardens in NE Orlando (nearly in Winter Park) offers wedding rentals at $750.

We had no problems with mosquitos, we had our reception back at our hotel, just a meal for the 20 of us.
Malaika - which Hampshire are you in?
Hi We are looking at the same venue for feb next year! Are you in Hampshire England or USA. We are England and I was just wondering if you were looking to book direct with them or via a planner? As I%26#39;m unsure which way to go....
We booked this with Virgin, it was really good and relaxed, no problems at all.
We met a planner once we got to Orlando at a hotel near Down Town Disney.
We got our licence at the Kissimmee Court House.
We are in Hampshire, England.
Hope this helps.
A couple of other good places to get married are:
Orlando Museum of Art,
at Lake Eola, or at the
Maitland Art Center (a really cool location)
Another good location is the Maison Jardin, which for many years was the premiere restaurant in the Orlando area. It closed last year, but still does weddings and private events. The restaurant has beautiful gardens around it if you want an outdoor wedding, and the food is great, so you can do the wedding and food at one place. That way you won%26#39;t have to get an outside caterer.
