Historical Disney opening hours late April or May ?

I%26#39;m planning a trip 25th April 09 for 2 weeks.

Obviously hours are not up yet but roughly what are opening hours at this time of year.

When we last went Dec 07 the parks were only open until 7 or 8 and wishes was at 6.

I%26#39;m imagining a bit later as it will be lighter in the evening

We normally go mid april time and have found that the parks aren%26#39;t open late as in until midnight but nor do they close as early as 7....wishes were at 10pm when we were there last.

We%26#39;re going the 2 May next year (might see you ;)!) and i%26#39;m guessing they will be around the same for the time you%26#39;re going staying open even later come the end of May...

The only Disney park which will close at 5:00 or 6:00 PM in December is Animal Kingdom. I was there in early December and the Disney parks, except for A.K., never closed that early. Are you sure you weren%26#39;t at M.K. on a Mickey%26#39;s Christmas party night?

In late April after spring break is over, Magic Kingdom will likely be open until 8:00 or 9:00 PM, Epcot will be open until 9:00 PM, Hollywood Studios will be open until 8:00 or 9:00 PM, and Animal Kingdom may close at 6:00 PM. These closing time estimates will be for non-evening EMH days.

On wdwinfo if you go to theme parks and then operating hours it has a calendar of the hours for each day the year prior.

Yes, but it will be another couple of months before the hours for April are posted.

DixieChick was just wondering about the estimated closure times since the actual hours won%26#39;t be available for a while yet to come.

It could well have been a MVMCP night in Dec

I%26#39;d tried the calendar but it only does future dates and we weren%26#39;t planning on going in April 09 when the April 08 dates were still up.

A few years ago the week of December 11.....Magic Kingdom did close really early. Around 6:00 or 7:00. I was really disappointed, we are usually there in the summer when you can stay until 11:00 or 12:00. I felt like we missed/wasted a lot of time. It wasn%26#39;t on a VMCP night either, because we did that too while there.

It was nice to see all the decorations, but we won%26#39;t go again that time of year.

Sorry when she said historical I thought she meant what they had ran in the past. I figured that could give her an idea. Sorry again.

I%26#39;m guessing your December trip when the parks closed that early was probably 2001 or 2002 or so.

After the 9/11 attacks, Disney really made a lot of cutbacks on their schedules and open attractions/eateries/etc. This went on for about 2 or 3 years, but by about 2004, everything was back to ';normal opeations'; with the parks staying open later again.

Now, you still don%26#39;t get the midnight closing times except in the most crowded of seasons (summer, Xmas week, Easter break, etc.), but with exception of the Mickey%26#39;s Xmas Party nights, Magic Kingdom always stays open now until at least 8:00 PM or later.
