I%26#39;m particularly looking for experience with requests for low-protien PKU diet requests. I%26#39;ve booked a couple meals with the request for special food preparation due to this disorder that my son has and was curious for feedback from others. Maybe some tips and advice on dining w/special dietary needs from those that have experienced it?
Anyone w/experience on dining plan w/special diets?
I luckily don%26#39;t have any dietary special needs that can%26#39;t be fixed with a pill before I dig in. However, you%26#39;re not alone and Disney is GREAT with dealing with these kind of requests. This is a website I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll find very useful: http://allears.net/din/special.htm

We deal with this most every trip.
The Chefs are great to talk to and we have never had a problem having special meals prepared for several Family members on special diets. Just make sure you remind your server when you are seated that you have a Special Diet request and or you%26#39;d like to talk to the Chef. If you eat at any of the Counter Service Restaurants, they have a book with all the Menu Items listed and you will be able to see the ingredients list. We have also been quite pleased with the selections at the CS and the Cast Members are very understanding
The Best Restaurant we eat at, every trip, is Boma. Chef Eugene is wonderful and always comes up with something amazing for us to try, Yum :)
p.s. if you click on the link i gave and then click on ';other special diets'; one of the accounts is from a family who traveled with a 2 year old with pku.
