My wife %26amp; I are going to Orlando for Xmas. We were thinking of going to Universal Studios on Xmas Day, but have already been to Universal Studios Hollywood a couple of years ago %26amp; were wondering if the parks have the same or similar rides/attractions, or are they different?
Also, out of Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure - are we better to go to Islands of Adventure if we have already seen Universal Hollywood?
Thanks
Universal Studios Orlando v Universal Hollywood
Well, a lot of the rides at Universal Studios Florida have counterparts in Hollywood that are either similar or exactly the same. So if you are set on only going to one Universal park, I would definitely pick Islands of Adventure. The only thing it has that is similar to Hollywood is the Jurassic Park ride.
However it is quite easy to hop over to the Studios side. It is right next door and only costs about $10 to add it to your ticket. So I would consider that option, since our Universal Studios does have some rides that Hollywood doesn%26#39;t, for example Jimmy Neutron, Twister, Jaws, Disaster, Men in Black, and ET (I believe Hollywood did have this ride but got rid of it).
Universal Studios Orlando v Universal Hollywood
i have been told that the hollywood park is more a working set than a theme park, in orlando it is great, lots of good rides in both parks, i love ET just for the smell inside and the way its all done, the mummy is a bone shaker, men in black, spiderman, they are both really good parks and you will find some nice places to eat within the park aswell,we loved the quoissant moon cafe in the adventure side and meld diner in the other side.hope that is a bit motehelpfull to you
Universal Hollywood is very much a working film studios. It%26#39;s worth a visit just for the studio set tour where you get to experience sets from such films as War of the Worlds (the airplane crash site). You even get to drive up Wisteria Lane (Desperate Housewives. As previous posters have said, it also has many of the rides and experiences that Universal Orlando.
We loved both parks but Universal Hollywood was our favourite.
