does anybody know where the public car parks are on fort myers beach. will be driving a 15 seat chevy express and want a car park close to times square.

I was there yesterday and always find parking expensive and a bit of a pain. Why not write directly to the City Manager Scott Janke, at Scott@fortmyersbeachfl.gov or their Chamber of Commerce at info@fmbchamber.com.

I enjoyed travelling the road from Fort Myers Beach south to Bonita Springs stopping at the beaches of Hickory Island and especially the Barefoot Beach Preserve. I am going to try to write up the two days trip for the Southwest Florida pages. We stayed at Americinn in Bonita Springs and thought it was a great find and a bargain.

Yes, there is parking right across from the beach in Fort Myers and it is not that expensive for an entire day. Right near Times Square, there is a lot that charges $7.00 for the day. And just a block down you will see a McDonalds with a parking lot next to it that will let you park there for $6.00 day.

there are more pay by day lots at Lani Kai and across the street from there. The public access at Beach roads are metered parking as well as the lot at Time Square.

If possible I would avoid arriving on a weekend. I was traveling through the beach area several weeks ago and could not find a place to park. It is really helpful to know where all the parking lots are located before you reach the island. If you can%26#39;t find a place on Fort Myers Beach, Lovers Key is nice too. They don%26#39;t have shops or restaurants but the beach is nice and parking is not a problem. Enjoy your visit, I love the Fort Myers Beach area.

There%26#39;s a parking lot a block or two off the beach (it might be near SOB%26#39;s, I can%26#39;t quite remember) that is only a few dollars a day. It%26#39;s right behind West Coast Surf Shop...I think.
