We went on this ride on Monday, and went through the first two stages, got on the train and it broke down! Got an express pass to another ride, so we bypassed the whole on the jaws boat trip (that was brilliant).
We are going back to Universal Studios today, couldnt go yesterday due to the weather, but didnt really want to go through the queue and stage 1 and 2 of the ride if it wasnt that good for the train part.
Disaster Ride at Universal, is it worth it?
I think its a really cool ride.....
Disaster Ride at Universal, is it worth it?
I thought it was pretty lame and a ';dud'; back when it was the Earthquake ride.
There are much better rides to spend your time waiting on than this one, IMO.
I assume you mean the ride that used to be called %26#39;Earthquake%26#39;? It%26#39;s quite an old ride, but we like it, and always go on it. We know what is going to happen now, but it%26#39;s still fun. I wonder what (if anything) has changed? Anyone know?
ok then :(
:)
i wouldn%26#39;t wait anymore than 10 mins for it , it%26#39;s tired and dated - should be replaced by something more modern from the vast list of movies they%26#39;ve made since Earthquake - i%26#39;d say the same of Twister as well - complete waste of time - theses two and MIB ride really let this park down in my opinion - however The new Simpsons ride is quite amazing as is the Mummy and Shrek.
It is a great ride, that really puts you in the movies. The special effects and movements are really fun and put you right in the action. Don%26#39;t miss it.
Its been revamped buts its a strange one.
The third part with the railtrack is good and the best part.
the video at the end cracked me up
This thread points out the reason to do everything you can yourself and make your own judgement. There are many differing points of view and not everyone likes the same things. What a shame if you bypass something because your friend didn%26#39;t like it and you find out later that it is your favorite thing to do?
train part is the best bit but not worth a long wait, make sure you sit near the outside of the train carriage to get the real impact!
