Hi, We leave out of Jax on a Mon. and are wanting to stay somewhere Fri-Sun before the cruise. We are thinking about Savannah, St. Augustine or Amelia Island. All are close and we%26#39;ve been to none of the above. Which city would you guys recommend and what would you suggest we do while we are there. Thanks in Advance.

Go to the St. Augustine tripadvisor forum for whatever information you want about the place. It%26#39;s a very active forum.
Pre cruise stay in Feb. 2009St. Augustine gets my vote, too. You may be aware that it%26#39;s the oldest city in the USA. Lots of history, things for kids, adults, restaurants and shopping, and only about an hour away from the cruise port.
As Spirit advised, visit the St. Augustine forum. They can give you some great suggestions.

You will enjoy any of the three. Each is different.
All three have the beach, all three have quaint shops, Savannah has the most museums, St. Augustine has a lot of history. Amelia is quaint--definitely do a bed and breakfast. Won%26#39;t have the museum stuff there.
