I am so confused about whether to take our vacation. We are scheduled to fly into Miami on Thursday (leaving California in the am and getting to Miami in the pm).

We were planning to visit the Everglades Friday morning and go to the Keys Friday and Saturday nights, back to Miami Sunday, flying out Monday.

The airlines is saying our flight may be cancelled. We don%26#39;t know whether to cancel our lodging so we don%26#39;t lose even more money.

Any locals have advice for us? We really don%26#39;t want to be holed up in a hotel watching the rain and wind out the window.

I%26#39;m not sure why the airlines would tell you your flight may be canceled; weather should not affect that by Friday. The only thing I can think of may be that Fay is expected to take a turn to the west over the next day or so - are you connecting somewhere on the East coast like Atlanta? - and there may be a chance that, if it becomes a hurricane, you may have delays heading south. But, the Miami area and Keys should be fine.

We flew into Miami yesterday (Mon. Aug. 18). Had a day of rain, sometimes very hard. By late afternoon today the rain and wind had stopped and the sun came out off and on. Things are expected back to normal tomorrow.

I%26#39;m driving down to Key West tomorrow, for some jetski and diving/snorkeling. The dive shop is expected to go out on Thr.
