Fontainebleau in December - too far from everything??

I have an opportunity for a great deal at the Fontainebleau (I%26#39;m in the travel industry), but I%26#39;m concerned it%26#39;s too far from everything.

How hard is it to get from the Fontainebleau to South Beach? How much is a taxi? Is it easy to park in South Beach? If we had bikes, would that be a better option?

Thanks for any feedback.

Its a short taxi ride, a very long walk down the boardwalk, or a short bus ride to South Beach.

South Beach runs from 23 st south, with beachfront rentals available on some parts of Collins ave and Ocean Drive. Parking can be difficult, so I recommend renting in South Beach proper, if possible.

Thanks for your response. I%26#39;ve heard that there%26#39;s a shuttle that goes from Fontainebleau to SoBe. Do you know anything about it?

Hotels that are not in the middle of the action often have a free shuttle down to the district. This can be a real savings but you might still need to hop on the bus or grab a cab when you want to return. It is EASY and the Fontainebleau is a lovely property.

Here is a map of the 25 cent shuttle to help you get around town. It goes no further north than about 20th Street:
