What theme park tickets do we need?

We are going to Florida in August for 2 weeks, spending 7 days in Orlando and then 7 days on the Gulf Coast. Which attraction tickets should we buy for that first week? The huge array of options is so confusing. As we%26#39;ll only be doing theme parks for one week, we don%26#39;t want to pay over the odds.

What theme park tickets do we need?

Are you interested in Disney, Universal, Sea World ?

What theme park tickets do we need?

We are interested in Disney, Universal AND Seaworld! We have never been before so it%26#39;s hard to know what exactly we%26#39;ll want to do. I suppose we need to keep our options fairly open.

7 Parks, 7 Days. Perfect :)

Recomend a 4 day Magic Your Way Ticket for Disney. 2 day/2Park Ticket for Universal and 1 day SeaWorld Ticket

All Reliable

If you wanted to have a rest day, Universal and IOA can be done in 1 day, IMO and if you need to leave something off the list, I%26#39;d recomend Seaworld only because it would be the most cost effective thing to do :)

I would buy either a 5 or 6 day park hooper pass to disney

I would say it depends on ages, sexes and interests of kids if you are travelling with any?? My boys(9%26amp;5) preferred Universals 2 parks to Magic Kingdom(is that odd?)We are not long back from 2 weeks of theme parks and shopping and need a holiday to recover. Too fit all in you will have to plan very carefully and get up early or stay out late! Enjoy.

it would help if we knew the ages of people in your group. so, i may revise this if/when i learn the ages of the people in your group, but for now i recommend:

1 day at Magic Kingdom

1 day at Epcot

1 day at Animal Kingdom/evening at Hollywood Studios (you will need a park hopper for this)

1 day at Blizzard Beach

1 day at Typhoon Lagoon

1 day at SeaWorld

1 day at Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure (WITH express passes! that%26#39;s very important. if you don%26#39;t buy express passes you won%26#39;t be able to do both parks)

also, when you are on the Gulf Coast I recommend Busch Gardens in Tampa. very nice park.

for tickets I guess you would need a 5 day MYW Disney ticket with the water park option and the park hopper option? others will clarify. and you would also need the Orlando Flexticket which will allow entry for SeaWorld, both Universal parks, and Busch Gardens. don%26#39;t forget Express Passes at Universal.

unless you have young children you should be able to fit in all these parks. the waterparks can be used as rest days.

Thank you for all those really useful tips!!! I am taking note of EVERYTHING and feel more reassured already. Some people asked about ages: we have two boys aged 9 and 11.

I second Partypa%26#39;s ideas - perfectly planned!

They will love Universals Parks and most of Disney so the other post I think was pretty spot on, I%26#39;d agree with the Express Pass idea for Universal too if you are short on time. The queues were not too bad for us but sometimes I still wish I%26#39;d taken that option and could have had more time in the malls. Have a great time.

Sorry forgot, the fast passes for new Toy Story ride run out VERY early in Hollywood Studios so get them asap in the morning if you def want to do it, it is good! At some point in our holiday I walked past and the wait was 140 minutes on standby. You can also try the single rider lines for quicker access on some of the most popular rides as your kids are older.
