Which resort is for us?

My husband and I would like to go to the Florida Keys next year but neither of us have been before. Just need to know which place would suit us best. I%26#39;ve seen holidays for Key Largo, Key West, Key Vaca, Duck Key and Islamorada. We are in our late 20%26#39;s early 30%26#39;s, no children. We like to sit by the pool during the day but still like to have the option of sight seeing. We love to go out in the evening so there needs to be plenty of bars/ restaurants. Nothing too heavy, just places you can go and watch the world go by. Not bothered about clubs.

Any help would be greatly received.

Which resort is for us?

Each area of the keys has its own personality. The upper keys (Key Largo) are more like the mainland. If you go no further south than here, you%26#39;ll miss the real beauty of the keys water, bridges etc. The diving in Key largo is its main attraction.

The middle keys (Islamorada, Vaca Key or Marathon) Is known for sportfishing, there is diving, just not as much.

The lower keys - mainly Key West is known for Duval street and it%26#39;s nightlife.

You can do any (fish, dive, party) in any of the keys.

If you make the Marathon area your ';home base'; you can get to each end of the keys is an easy 1 hour drive. I%26#39;d try and pick someplace near the middle keys.
