My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Orlando from December 9th-20th. Can someone please advise me how busy it is likely to be? Many thanks!
crowds in December
I can tell you this. We just tried booking our trip yesterday and almost all the deluxe hotels are fully booked for December. The only ones we could get were suites for about $10,000 for the week. We are now changing our travel plans so we can go at a time a monorail hotel is available.
It may be easier for you to stay at a moderate or value place and get buses. With three kids we just feel we need to pay more for the convenience of the monorail!
crowds in December
I would like to know also we%26#39;ll be there November 30-December 13 how are the crowds we usually come in August I wanted to try something different if we don%26#39;t like we will return in August.
We already have our rooms at Westgate Town Center for 2 weeks and I noticed that the parks close early around 7 or 8 pm how are the crowds.
WE spend every December/January in Orlando and Sarasota. Until the weekend before Christmas the parks are not at all busy. We usually travel around the 7/12 and that week the parks have virtually no queues for either rides or restaurants. We love it but have heard %26#39;cast members%26#39; complain that the place is too empty.
The crowds will be very low at the beginning of your trip but will slowly build up. Thankfully I think you will miss the worst of the Christmas crowds, though.
If you are planning on going to any of the following parks - Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, or Islands of Adventure - try to get them done as soon as possible as these will be the worst at dealing with crowds if they decide to come early.
December 1st-24th is the best time to go to Disney in my opinion! Last year I spent Dec. 10th-16th there and it was great. On weekdays there were no lines/crowds. However, on the weekends it got a bit busy...probably the locals and people wholive nearby. So, I%26#39;d fit in everything you want to do on wwkedays and save relaxing for the weekend.
I note that Pokerrolls states that he usually goes in August. The big difference will be in the length of the days and the temperatures. The sun usually goes down about 5.30/6 pm and gets dark almost immediately. Even on a day with temps in the 70%26#39;s,it gets cool very quickly and you will definately need to cover up in order to stay warm and enjoy the parks after dark.
