tried to book a room on the monorail for December and am stunned that all deluxe hotels on the monorail are fully booked. i thought early December was a quiet time at Disney.
So, we ended up with a savanna view in the Animal Kingdom and a deluxe meal plan. We%26#39;re traveling with three children and figure the kids will need the meals more than we will.
For those who have traveled with young children (ages, 4, 3 and 1) do you think we need the deluxe meal plan? And, will we be happy at the AKL? We are worried about transportation to theme parks.
hotel/meal plan questions for december
I have stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Many Times. I highly recomend it. We were just there this past April and will be there again this coming November. We have Never had a Problem with the Bus Transportation from the AKL. It%26#39;s a Beautiful Resort and I think your Kids will love seeing all the Animal

We have done the Disney Dining Plans since they were first offered and IMO, the Deluxe is just too much Food. 3 Sit Down Meals everyday is time consuming and more food then we normally eat. The Basic Plan is just enough for us.

The deluxe plan is the most cost effective if you use it well, but might be overkill with kids..
