Does anyone know anything about Ocean Reverie Apts.? Chamber says it%26#39;s very nice and rates are great.I was also looking at the Beach Apartment Hotel but saw some bad reviews. We are on a major budget and need either a one bedroom or a eff with a motel room attached. We have 2 adults and 2 children in our party. Looking for El mar drive not A1A (A1A seems more expensive anyway). Any ideas on how to get beach front for cheap? Looks like High Noon is the cheapest, $150/night.
Places to stay in August??
I have a condo not far from Lauderdale by the Sea. I spend some time there but have never stayed in a hotel there. A1A is a busy road so El Mar Drive will be much quietier and closer to the beach.
August is off season so it is one of the least expensive times to visit.
You may want to look at Blue Seas Courtyard, its on ElMar but not on the beach side, you have to cross the street to get there. It gets mostly good reviews and looks nice from the outside.
Enjoy your visit.
Places to stay in August??I just got back from Lauderdale By the Sea (May 24-28). In researching a place, I checked out the Ocean Reverie and they were closed for the time I was going to be there. I don%26#39;t know if they opened back up by the time of your visit in August.
We ended up staying at the Paradise by the Sea which is on A1A but it was $85 a night for 3 of us (2 beds, a couch bed, and a full kitchen. It was quiet, clean, had 2 pools, and was a block away from the ocean.
Beach Apartment in person looks nothing like the web pics, and there are 2 big condos (3 or 4 floors but still too high for this place) blocking the ocean even if on El Mar.
You might want to check out Ocean Treasure? Just by sight, it looked ok from the beach.
Thanks for the info. Ocean Treasure looks good except I don%26#39;t see mention of a pool. I%26#39;ll have to call. Blue Seas, if I remember correctly, seems too expensive. Beach Apts. is out. I%26#39;ll look into Paradise By The Sea again, except I really don%26#39;t want to be on A1A, too hot to walk to the beach. I was down there the end of April and stayed beachfront but can%26#39;t stay there again, it is too expensive. Ocean Rev. will be open but I%26#39;m concerned about the construction. They are building Villas By The sea across the street, too much noise, dust, etc. and it will block the ocean view. The price can%26#39;t be beat though. Too many choices!!! and not enough money!!! What about Souters??? Looks like that might be a good one.
hello, my family and I have stayed in LBTS many times. The Beach Apts. motel is not very nice. We did stay there last year because of our budget and we were traveling with 4 kids. The Blue Seas is BEAUTIFUL!! Stayed here two yrs. ago. It%26#39;s across the street from the beach but so far this is my favorite place in LBTS.
We stayed at the Villa Carpice 2 yrs in a row and really liked it there. You cant beat the view for the price... It is rite on the ocean and at the end of ElMar which was nice and quite... We were going to go back this yr again but it was booked for the month of July.. so we are going to try another place down the street..
Good luck
Kim
What place are you trying?
Pa: Since sis hasn%26#39;t answered you might want to send her a PM (Personal Message).

Good luck
Decided to book Souter%26#39;s. Hope it was a good decision. Wanted something on the beach and it seemed the best valued and reviewed with the chamber. Villa Caprise had complaints with the chamber and I also didn%26#39;t like the deposit policy, although the girl that runs it was very nice but... If we don%26#39;t like it we can always move to another place. Kaye and Amanda are excellent at Souter%26#39;s.
FYI - When we were down in late April we stayed at The Tides Inn. I will post when we get home and let everyone know how they compare. Lilianna???, not sure of the exact name, is by far the best. She makes the Tides Inn and has a wonderful family.
Hey Guys
Sorry I havent posted sooner, but dont get on much . We were going to stay at the Wind Jammer but cancelled do to gas prices and kid dont want to go down to the same place this yr.. So we are going stay closer to home on our coast.. going to give Sanibel Island a try..looks really nice and cheaper..
