very long trip report :-) FAB holiday!

Well what can I say…I’ve just got back from a FANTASTIC 2 weeks!

Dates: 19 June – 3 July

Flights: Gatwick to Orlando with Virgin Atlantic. I don’t see what all the fuss has been about both flights were great, food was good, entertainment was good, staff were friendly and did a good job. Can’t complain at all! Flight was half empty on the way home so we could all spread out and slept!

Hotel: There were 9 of us and we wanted to stay on I Drive so we booked 4 rooms in the La Quinta on Jamaican Court. Hotel was fine, we had an email the week before to say the pool would be closed but we were able to use the one at the Ramada next door. We were a bit disappointed but seeing as we only use it a few mornings we stayed there anyway. The hotel was clean with a good free (cold) breakfast, staff were friendly, rooms were big and clean – really couldn’t complain at all. Would stay there again no worries (especially as the pool is now refurbed and looks lovely!). Best thing was the location in walking distance of loads of restaurants, walgreens, I ride and lynx stops.

Transport: Dad rented a car from Dollar as he often goes off doing his own thing (can only handle a certain amount of theme parks etc and goes off looking at boring scrap yards etc doing the man thing!)

The rest of us got around using the Iride and on the odd occasion cabs. The Iride did become very busy from the second week I assume because of July 4th getting very close, other than that it was fine!

Parks: Got the flex ticket plus and did all the parks, loved IOA the best had so much fun, got soaked on Popeyes and dried off on the Hulk!! Longest queue was 40 minutes for Spiderman rest were 15ish.

Enjoyed Bush, but it was very busy – again getting closer to july 4th when we went.

We headed to Aquatica early and were there by 9 the queues were already big. Still enjoyed it though, especially the river rapids get a life vest and float around the edge you go really fast!! Little tip for the dolphin slide, get in the blue tube your more likely to see a dolphin – I did!!

The rest of my group went to Disney for 2 nights and stayed in POFQ they did HS, AK and BB. Me and my boyfriend didn’t bother going although we did join them at BB for the day.

They reported that the place was BUSY the busiest they have ever seen, and some have been 7 times before! They were at HS for EMH and still had to wait 70 minutes for rocking rollercoaster and tower of terror.

BB was good we got there early and got on a few rides very quickly but didn’t get on all of them before the storm of all storms came in at 2ish.

Sea world was good, Kracken was brill as always!

Wet and wild has got so much more then my last visit 4 years ago, had a great day there and went back for an evening later on. Really recommend it for fun day group rides are fab!

Universal still good, Simpsons was good, headed there first and was on in 10 mins – lucky!!

Food: Had some really good meals, Tony Romas was the best. Bubba Gumps was a really good atmosphere and amazing onion rings. Jimmy Buffets was really good too. Red lobster was a fave and Charlies steak house was also loved!

Shopping: oh my gosh, amazing amazing shopping, such amazing prices and so many shops!! Did prime and premium outlets and the florida mall – enjoyed every minute of it!!

So after that mammoth write up I think that is it!! Any questions please ask  for anyone going soon I’m jealous I wanna go back – NOW!
